Radio Adverts- Codes and Conventions

Radio adverts are an effective way of advertising media. It allows companies to target a large proportion of their target audience throughout the day.
Radio adverts are usually around 40 seconds long but can range from around 20-60 seconds depending on what us being advertised.
The common features within radio adverts are:
  •  Product is identified by stating the name of the company and the slogan.
  • Voice over in the radio advert should be the same as in the actually advert to show a connection between the two.
  • Music can be used- again this would have to be linked to the advert itself.
  • Often website addresses are stated for further advertising.
